A rare 18th-century composite wine goblet with a large round funnel bowl above an angular shoulder knop and half knop. This sits upon a double series opaque twist consisting of a pair of tapes outside a gauze which in turn has a large swelling knop and basal knop. Conical foot with a snapped pontil.
Opaque Twist composite stems are exceptionally rare and this is the first example we have has since 2002.
