Historical Relevance

Cragside in Rothbury (Northumberland) by the Scottish architect Richard Norman Shaw was designed to incorporate every modern convenience. Swan's new electric lamps were powered by water from a local stream through a dynamo-electric generator and  Armstrong becomes the first to use electric power.
