Technical Description 

A 19th century Nailsea glass flask. A very unusual example with an applied opalescent rim. Decorated with pulled up white trailing and finished with a thickened rim. A rough pontil completes the piece.

Historical Relevance 

Hand-blown around the time Nathaniel Hawthorne's The Scarlet Letter was published on the 16th of March 1850.
