Excellent, small thin annealing fault that comes from the pontil (see foot picture) No chips or restoration. A few small slag seeds in the glass as expected for this aga. Part of olf collectors or auction label on the base.

Technical Description
A late 18th century glass wine bottle. Wonderful deep bristol blue colour with an applied neck collar. The pontil is rough. Certainly the first Bristol Blue wine bottle from this era that we have had. Many green examples in various shades but never blue.
Historical Relevance
The French Revolution. The emergence of the two-party system. Threats of war with France and England. The first transfer of Presidential political power. George Washington called "debauched" and worse. The clampdown of personal freedoms. Welcome to the political 1790s.
