Technical Description
An early 19th century cut glass water jug. A pulled pouring lip featuring scallop cuts leads to a prism cut neck. The body is slice and diamond cut and has an applied handle, also featuring slice cuts. The piece rests upon a star cut base.
Historical Relevance
Hand-blown around the time the Irish Royal Navy captain, Edward Bransfield landed on the mainland of Antarctica.
