Technical Description
18th century wrythen moulded ale glass. Wrythen moulding flows from the base of the stem, through the ball knop and to the rim of the conical bowl. A conical foot with a rough pontil supports the piece.
Historical Relevance
Hand-blown around the time the British captured Pondichéry, India from the French on the 16th of January 1761.
