Technical Description
An ogee bowl engraved with a band of crosshatched swags above lily of the valley and a floral sprig. A double series opaque twist stem, consisting of a pair of four-ply spiral bands outside a multi-ply corkscrew. A conical foot with a rough pontil.
Historical Relevance
Hand-blown around the time that the English clockmaker, John Harrison, produced the first successful marine chronometer “The No. 1 sea watch”.
