Technical Description
18th-century opaque twist wine glass. A large round funnel bowl above a double series opaque twist stem consisting of a pair of spiral threads outside a gauze. A conical foot with a rough pontil supports the piece.
Historical Relevance
On July 27th 1760, The Scottish School of Design was founded in Edinburgh. It later became the Royal Institution and finally the Royal Scottish Academy.
