Technical Description
20th century optical moulded vase. Eight-way crimped rim. The colour graduates from dark amethyst to almost clear at the rim with wonderful optical moulding. The base is polished.
Historical Relevance
Hand-blown around the time the cartoon character Elmer Fudd made his debut in the animated short, Elmer's Candid Camera. Notable engraver Frederick Carder who worked at the Stevens & Williams factory from 1864 - 1963 was also the founder of Steuben Glass Works in Corning, New York in 1903.
