Technical Description
A 19th century lidded pickle jar. The domed lid features cross cut diamonds, slice cutting and a facet cut finial. A matching body is decorated with facet cut cartouches. An annulated stem joins the bowl with a square foot. Facet and diamond cutting decorate the base.
Historical Relevance
Hand-blown around the time John Alexander Reina Newlands produced the first periodic table of elements in 1864.
