Technical Description 

A cut and engraved 19th century glass tumbler. A tapered body decorated with a band of engraved fruiting vines above slice cutting. The base is finished with a polished pontil.

Historical Relevance 

Hand-blown around the time Nathaniel Hawthorne's The Scarlet Letter was published on the 16th of March 1850.
