Technical Description
An amber 19th century slice cut glass decanter. The slice cut neck is decorated with an applied neck ring. Slice cutting continues down the cylindrical body. The base of the piece is finished with a star cut pontil. This decanter retains its original hollow slice cut stopper.
Historical Relevance
Hand-blown around the time Queen Victoria chose Ottawa as the capital of Canada on the 31st of December 1857.
