Technical Description
A blue 19th century glass decanter. The slice cut neck features an applied neck ring with further slice cutting. Split cut arches and slice cutting decorate the body. The piece rests on a split cut base. This decanter retains its original hollow slice cut stopper.
Historical Relevance
Handcrafted around the time the Factory Act made it illegal to employ children less than 9 years old in factories and limited child workers of 9 to 13 years of age to a maximum of 9 hours a day
