Technical Description 

An amethyst 19th century glass carafe. The slice cut neck features an applied neck ring with further slice cutting. Cut swags and petal cutting decorate the body. The piece rests on a slice cut base.

Historical Relevance

Handcrafted around the time the Factory Act made it illegal to employ children less than 9 years old in factories and limited child workers of 9 to 13 years of age to a maximum of 9 hours a day
