Technical Description 

18th century opaque twist wine glass. A round funnel bowl engraved with a large floral sprig and a jay in flight stands upon a double series opaque twist stem. The twist is made up of a spiral gauze alternating with two spiral threads. This all rests upon a conical foot with a rough pontil. 

Historical Relevance 

Hand-blown around the time the first patent for a one-piece pencil with eraser was issued to American inventor J. Rechendorf of New York City.
