Technical Description
20th century amethyst Thomas Webb decanter. A mallet form decanter with a hollow ball stopper. The base is polished and bares the Thomas Webb mark used from 1966-1980.
Historical Relevance
Hand-blown around the time the lunar module Eagle/Apollo 11 landed on the lunar surface. An estimated 500 million people worldwide watched as Neil Armstrong took his historic first steps on the Moon at 10:56 pm ET on the 21st of July 1969.
