Technical Description
A pair of 19th century amber glass flagons. Classic flagon form with an applied handle and a white metal rim. The base has a rough pontil. The piece retains its original stopper, a white metal and cork stopper with a cage containing a marble. An unusual addition.
Historical Relevance
Hand-blown around the time HMS Warrior, the world's first ocean-going completely iron-hulled and armoured battleship, was launched on the Thames on the 29th of december 1860.
