Technical Description
An 18th century cut glass water jug. The scallop cut rim has a pulled pouring section and leads to a split cut neck. The body is slice, diamond and pillar cut and has an applied handle, also featuring slice cuts. The piece rests upon a polished base.
Historical Relevance
Hand-blown around the time the Irish Royal Navy captain, Edward Bransfield landed on the mainland of Antarctica.
