An early 19th century Anglo Irish wine glass dating to c1810.
The tapered bucket bowl exhibits a pillar cut lower section containing alternating panels of fine diamonds. The upper section shows a repeating pattern of slanted split cut cartouches also containing fine diamonds.
Triple annulated upper stem joint leading to an angular knop. The stem has been slice cut and feathers extra faceting to the knop. Conical foot with star cut base.
A rare glass and we have not come across this combination of cutting before.
