Technical Description
A rare 18th century opaque twist wine glass with a deceptive toastmaster bowl. An ogee bowl with thickened walls rests upon a double series opaque twist stem. The twist is comprised of a pair of five-ply spiral bands outwith two pairs of spiral threads. This all rests upon a conical foot with a rough pontil.
Historical Relevance
Hand-blown around the time the first patent for a one-piece pencil with eraser was issued to American inventor J. Rechendorf of New York City.
