Technical Description
An Anglo Irish glass Rummer dating to c1830.
It has an Ogee bowl which has been beautifully cut with a variety of different techniques. Alternating oval and pillar cuts, the ovals alternating with very small diamonds surrounded by fan cuts and ovals with diamonds and fans within large polished diamonds. One oval has the initials WR engraved within. Further fields of diamonds and slice cuts below. Sits on a facet cut annular knop above a conical foot with has been radial cut.
An outstanding and rare example.
