Technical Description
A deceptive 18th century opaque twist wine glass. A deceptive round funnel bowl rests upon a double series opaque twist stem. The stem is comprised of a pair of five-ply spiral bands outwith a pair of spiral threads. The piece is supported by a domed foot with a rough pontil.
Historical Relevance
Hand-blown around the time the 1st life insurance policy in North America was issued on the 22nd of May 1761 in Philadelphia.
