Technical Description 

An 18th-century opaque twist wine glass with a round funnel bowl. Rests upon a double series opaque twist stem consisting of a pair of spiral tapes outside a multi-ply corkscrew. Conical foot with a snapped pontil.

England, c1760. Period of George III.

Condition

Excellent, no chips cracks or restoration

Historical Context

Hand-blown around the time the first patent for a one-piece pencil with eraser was issued to American inventor J. Rechendorf of New York City.
