Technical Description
A fine set of six early 19th-century glass toddy sticks which were used to crush pieces of sugarloaf at the bottom of rummers and tumblers.

England, c1800. Period of George III.
Condition
Excellent, age-related wear as shown, no chips cracks or restoration.

Ave Height: 11.5cm.

Maine Becomes the 23rd state of the USA. Maine was an enclave of Massachusetts until 1820, when as a result of the growing population and a political agreement regarding slavery, it became the 23rd state on March 15 under the Missouri Compromise.
