Technical Description
A large 19th-century wine goblet. It has a round funnel bowl with slice cutting the lower half. Sits on a slice cut baluster knop stem above a conical foot with a polished pontil.

Excellent, age-related wear as shown. No chips cracks or restoration

Historical Context
Scotland 1849 saw the Ardnamurchan Lighthouse illuminated for the very first time. During the 1850s in London, they experienced what was known as the "Great Stink" which caused by the raw sewage and animal waste which flowed directly in the river at the time.
