Technical Description
A superb large Victorian glass water jug probably made in Scotland in around 1880.
Amber in colour with large dimples and a poring section to the front, it has a twisted blue applied handle and a polished pontil.
Based on the research and published works of Jill Turnbull (Scottish Glass Historian), we know that this colour combination was made at the Hollyrood glass works in Edinburgh and that it also comes in blue with amber handles.
This is an exceptional example and one that will add colour and rarity to any collection.
