Technical Description

A rare miniature Baluster Tincture Glass dating to c1740.

It has a deceptive conical bowl with a solid section at the base. Ball shoulder and basal knop above a conical foot.

Date & Origin

England or Europe, c1740. Period of George II.

Condition

Excellent, no chips cracks or restoration

Height: 8.7cm, Rim diameter: 3.5m,  Foot diameter: 4.2cm

Comments

We had a similar example (slightly smaller) which was sold from the Michael Wallis collection a few weeks ago. This example is around 1cm taller and part of an extensive private dram collection which Exhibit will be presenting over the next week.
