Technical Description
A very fine 18th-century baluster wine glass dating to c1750.
It has a round funnel bowl with a solid base containing an air tear. The bowl itself has been beautifully engraved with the words 'DE GOEDE VRINDSCHAP' (The Good Friendship) above a landscape vignette with two clasped hands appearing from the clouds all within a finely engraved rococo cartouche.
A bobbin type stem with a large central ball knop with smaller ball knops above and below with a half basal knop, all containing further air tears. Conical folded foot.
A very fine example, beautifully engraved, from the mid 18th century and probably Dutch engraved.
