Technical Description
A 19th century opaque twist cordial glass. A bucket bowl rests upon a long double series opaque twist stem. This is made up of a multi-ply spiral band outwith a multi-ply corkscrew. The piece is supported by a conical foot finished with a rough pontil.
Historical Relevance
Hand-made around the time the first known photograph of Niagara Falls (a daguerreotype) was taken by the English chemist, Hugh Lee Pattinson in 1840.
