Technical Description
An excellent 18th-century Balustroid wine glass dating to c1740.
It has a pointed round funnel bowl that sits atop a stem with a long drawn air tear, the stem almost appearing hollow. The stem shows an inverted baluster at the shoulder, a central annular knop and a small basil knop. The glass rests upon a conical, folded foot.

Excellent, no chips cracks or restoration

This glass comes from the Michael Wallis collection which took over 45 years to build and contains over 250 drinking glasses, covering all forms from the 18th century, many exceptionally rare. They will all be presented by Exhibit over the coming weeks and months.
