Technical Description

An exceptional 19th century glass tankard dasting to c1870.

A large example, holding over 1.5 pints or 900ml, it has applied trailing to the rim with foliate and flower engraved bands separated by an applied central collar. Applied handle.

Comments

This glass comes from the Michael Wallis collection which took over 45 years to build and contains over 250 drinking glasses, covering all forms from the 18th century, many exceptionally rare. They will all be presented by Exhibit over the coming weeks and months.
