Technical Description
A fine set of six 18th century wine glasses dating to c1780.
They have Hendecagonal (eleven-sided) Ogee bowls with gilding around the rim. Inverted baluster facet and slice cut rims above conical feet.
Date & Origin
Germany, c1780. Period of George III.
Condition
No chips cracks, some minor loss of gilt. One glass has had a slight polish to the foot rim.

Comments
In 1776, there was no unified Germany. The region was divided into principalities and remnants of the Holy Roman Empire.
