Technical Description
A superb and rare example of a mid 19th century Vaseline Glass Decanter or Serving Bottle.
It has its original hollow spiral stopper above a wrythen twist neck with the ribs continuing down the main body. Polished pontil.
An excellent example in superb condition.

Excellent, age-related wear as shown. No chips cracks or restoration, clean and clear.

Historical Relevance
Benjamin Henry perfects the Henry rifle which was manufactured by the New Haven Arms Company, and used in considerable numbers by certain Union army units in the American Civil War. Confederates called the Henry "that damned Yankee rifle that they load on Sunday and shoot all week!"
