Technical Description

An 18th-century triple knop air twist wine glass dating to c1750.

 

It has a large round funnel bowl above a multi spiral air twist stem with three different styles of swelling knop. Conical foot.

 

Quite rare to find a three knop example.

Excellent, no chips cracks or restoration

Height: 17cm, Rim diameter: 6.7cm  Foot diameter: 7.4cm

Comments

This glass comes from the Michael Wallis collection which took over 45 years to build and contains over 250 drinking glasses, covering all forms from the 18th century, many exceptionally rare. They will all be presented by Exhibit over the coming weeks and months.
