Technical Description
An 18th century double series air twist wine glass. The pan topped bowl rests upon an air twist stem comprised of a pair of spiral threads outwith a cable. A conical foot with a rough pontil supports the piece. Double Series Pan Top Air Twists are exceptionally rare and this is the first example we have had.
Historical Relevance
Hand-blown around the time the British settlement of Georgetown was founded in North America.
