Technical Description 

Pair of 19th-century peacock blue wine glasses. A peacock blue glass round funnel bowl. The slice cut hollow stem and conical foot is formed in clear glass. A conical foot with a polished pontil supports the piece. 

Historical Relevance 

Hand-blown around the time Henry Morton Stanley found Dr. Livingstone in the town of Ujiji on the shores of Lake Tanganyika on the 10th of November 1871.
