Technical Description
A superb cut glass serving bowl, almost certainly from the Cork factory showing an array of deep cutting and polishing techniques. A Trefoil (Vandyke) rim with a band of diamonds below. Graduated prism cuts leading down to a radial cut foot.
Date & Origin
Ireland, c1830. Period of George IV.
Condition
Very good. A few very small nibbles to the rim. For a piece of this size and style, the condition is remarkable.

Historical Relevance
Hand-blown around the time Austins of Derry was established in Northern Ireland. At its closure in 2016, it remained the world's oldest independent department store.
