Technical Description
A superb mid 18th Century mercury twist wine glass. A flared bucket bowl on a single series mercury corkscrew stem. Conical foot with a snapped pontil.
We haven't had a flared bucket bowl mercury twist form in the last 3 years...a very elegant glass indeed.

Historical Relevance
Hand-blown around the time France declared war on Britain during The War of the Austrian Succession in 1744.
