An 18th-century wine glass. A round funnel bowl engraved with a flower sprig and a Jaybird. Plain stem above conical folded foot.

England, c1750. Period of George II.
Condition
Excellent, age-related wear as shown, no chips cracks or restoration

Comments
An excellent example of an early plain stem wine of possible Jacobite Significance. The Jay is purported to be a symbol of the usurpation of the Stuart Kings, the flower sprig referring to fertility being restored again.
