Technical Description
An exceptional and rare opalescent glass vase from the Venetian glass manufacturer Dr Antonio Salviati. A ribbed body sits atop a ribbed and folded foot with a short stem. Three applied open spouts, and three hand-crimped rigaree handles adorn the body, as well as a trailed neck ring. Rough pontil.

Another example can be found on Page 99 of the Venice and Murano Glass Company Ltd. pattern book, dating 1895-96. Noted as Pattern 595 from the Venice and Murano Glass Company, indicating that this pattern held popularity for many years. The pattern book is currently held as single leaves of pen and ink on thin tracing paper in the Victoria & Albert Museum, London.
