Technical Description
An excellent example of an 18th-century facet cut ale glass. A round funnel bowl with a band of scale facet cutting to the base of the bowl with a thick diamond facet cut stem below. Very large conical foot with a snapped pontil.

England or Ireland, c1770. Period of George III.

Excellent, age-related wear as shown.

Comments
This is a particularly fine example, the facet cutting to the base of the bowl being unusual and the thickness of the stem possibly pointing to an Irish origin. A very large foot finishes a stunning glass.
