Technical Description
19th century nailsea glass decanter. Shaft and globe form, pulled trailing and three applied annulated neck rings. The stopper is original, hollow with matching trailing. A rough pontil completes the piece. Nailsea decanters with the original stoppers are rare.
Historical Relevance
Hand-blown in England around the time Texas was admitted as the 28th U.S. state on the 29th of December 1845.
