Technical Description
A stunning 18th-century facet cut wine glass with a round funnel bowl.
The bowl has been engraved with Lilly Of The Valley and a branch sprig. Long Diamond facet cut stem above a conical folded foot with a snapped pontil.
Date & Origin
Period of George III, England c1760.
Condition
A silicon fill to one small section of the rim.

Comments
An early example of an early English facet cut wine glass, the folded foot being a rare addition to the form. The thinner stem is also indicative of an early date. Possible Jacobite Sympathy.
