A stunning 18th-century balustroid wine glass with a conical bowl and Neo-Classical engraving around the rim. Sits of a stem with a drop knop above a conical foot with a snapped pontil.

Period of George III, England c1750.
Condition
Excellent. No chips, cracks or restoration.

A rather rare example. The style of the glass, metal, thin stem and foot are very much out of the Newcastle Light Baluster domain. The drop knop is simple and elegant. A very fine glass and we have never come across another example.
