Technical Description 

Six early 19th-century port or dram glasses. They have flared round funnel bowls which have been scale facet cut above inverted baluster knop stems and conical feet with polished pontils.

Historical Relevance 

Maine Becomes the 23rd state of the USA. Maine was an enclave of Massachusetts until 1820, when as a result of the growing population and a political agreement regarding slavery, it became the 23rd state on March 15 under the Missouri Compromise
