Technical Description
A fine 19th century set of brass postal scales with its original 8,4,2,1 & 1/2oz brass weights.
Also included is a set of 'gram' brass weights ranging from 50 to 5 grams.
Finally and also included is a 19th century set of W & T Avery Apothocary Weights in their original box. A 1000 & 500 grams along with a full set of Grains weights with the original period tweezers and glass cover.
The scales are in working order and the box is in superb condition.
The set has been together for many years and we felt it was only fair to keep it together. A great desk item and very tactile.
