Technical Description
A magnificent Silesian Josephinenhutte wine goblet dating to c1900.
It has its original knopped and engraved spire lid sitting upon a conical bowl engraved with a coat of arms and garlands of flowers. The base of the bowl has been facet cut above an angular knop and coloured double series opaque twist stem with two pairs of white and two pairs of translucent red spirals. Conical foot.
Comments
The Josephinehutte glassworks was founded by Franz Pohl in 1842 and went on to produce outstanding Venetian inspired designs over a 100 years period. This is a magnificent top-end example.
