Technical Description
A vaseline glass claret jug with a silver-plated lid and handle dating to the late 19th century. Almost certainly by John Walsh Walsh who made various flower pattern vaseline glass vessels. The claret jug is exceptionally rare and we could only find one other example which was the same form and pattern but with a slightly different silver-plated lid. It was sold in Australia some years ago.
