Technical Description
A fine tall example of an 18th century pedestal stem sweetmeat or champagne glass. It has a double ogee bowl above an 8 sided pedestal stem with diamonds on the shoulders and between collars. Domed and folded foot.
Historical Relevance
Hand-blown around the time the British captured Pondichéry, India from the French on the 16th of January 1761.
