Technical Description
Engraved 18th century Jacobite sympathy plain stem wine glass. A drawn trumpet bowl and plain stem, the bowl engraved with an open bud, a floral sprig and lily of the valley. The foot is conical and folded with a rough pontil.
Historical Relevance
Hand-blown around the time the laws against witchcraft were repealed and replaced with The Witchcraft Act of 1735. This act made the witch more akin to a con artist in the eyes of the law.
